Accessibility

We want every buyer, engineer and maintenance lead to be able to use prpreps.ca, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or voice control.

What we aim for

We design and test the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That means readable text sizes and contrast, visible focus, labelled form fields, text alternatives for images, and pages that work at 200% zoom and on a phone.

Where we know it falls short

  • The 3D compressor room and 3D transformer plant are visual walkthroughs. Every station is also listed in plain text, with the same equipment and sizing links, on the compressor room page and the transformer plant page.
  • The thermal drilling video has no spoken words. The page beside it explains each step in text.
  • Some supplier documents (PDF data sheets) are not fully tagged. Ask and we will send the information in another format.
